Boy Scout's Highest Earned Award

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."

Isaiah 40:31

Just less than 5% of those who join Boy Scouts hike the Eagle trail all the way to the top.
Over 2 million young men have earned BSA's top rank since Scouting was founded in America in 1910.

Learn "The Value of the Eagle Scout Award" at the
National Eagle Scout Association* website.

Famous Eagles

Here's a sampling of famous Eagle Scouts. A very tiny sample; you can find more on Wikipedia, although this too is no where near a complete listing.
There's also a number of famous folks who have been incorrectly identified as being Eagle Scouts--most were Scouts, just not Eagles.

For Life Scouts and Eagle Candidates

Many professions have an unwritten rule: "If it isn't documented, it didn't happen."
Or the sign at the outhouse at Scoutcamp: "The job aint finished until the paperwork is done."

That's all too true for Eagle as well. Because the standards for this rank have always been high, it is very important to have all the paperwork properly done.

The forms and booklets below will help you cover all the bases as you finish the Trail to Scouting's Highest Award.

Here are a couple of links to great collections of hints and helps in the whole Eagle process--from:

Scouters.us
MacScouter.com
And the most up-to-date list when seeking out
congratulatory letters.

Please remember: these are helps & hints only. NESA, the National Eagle Scout Association, "recommends" you keep it simple by only posting the Eagle Project workbook and the Application. Adults (i.e. Scouters & parents), don't go raining on the parade by making it harder than it already is. This is the Scout's effort, not yours.
